Question: How do I acquire additional presonal support for either managing my personal finances, preparing income and expense bookkeeeping accounts, and helping me reduce my monthly expenses or renegotiating my services?
Answer: IPIU offers members a program where they can hire a professional who will serve as your Attorney-in-Fact (AIF), also known as a Power of Attorney, to serve as your Advocate. The program includes setting up a monthly Income and Expense Report to show you where your income has been spent for the previous months. This permits you and your assigned AIF and Associate Bookkeepers (AB) to jointly employ a modified expense and savings schedule to boost your net worth. The accounting portion of this service includes preparing all income and expenses in an electronic form for a Certified Public Account to prepare your annual tax returns. Additional dedicated checking and savings accounts can be set up, using a modified Dave Ramsey approach. Your AIF has additional resources available to help you with establishing new accounts, negotiate current accounts to lower your costs, and to aid you toward educational methods in becoming more self-efficient and self-reliant.
Question: If I have a corporation, what services can you offer me to maximize my savings?
Answer: Your Attorney-in-Fact (AIF) and bookkeeper will be able to set up two (2) accounting database programs to insure that all business expenses are separated from business and personal expenses. If you have a personal checking account PLUS a corporate business checking account, then your AIF will be able to access both accounts to download all expenses to the correct categories, which will be used by your Certified Public Accountant (CPA) to prepare both your Personal Tax Return plus your Corporate Tax Return, which is paramount to optimizing your savings on taxable income.
Question: Does my attorney-in-fact (POA) prepare my tax returns, or do I have to look for my own CPA?
Answer: Your Attorney-in-Fact will recommend a qualified CPA who specializes in tax returns for both corporations, private investigative agencies (or another similar business enterprise) and personal income tax returns. Choosing just any CPA is unwise, in our opinion. This is the reason for retaining IPIU AIF's and bookkeepers who know your business specialty, and who know which CPA's to recommend for your needs.
Question: Can I cancel at anytime?
Answer: You can cancel this program, in writing, at anytime. However, we suggest you cancel with a 30 day notice so that your bookkeeper can complete the reports and printed documents of the account(s) to be mailed to you. If you cancel midstream, then many of your reports may be in a pending stage without being finalized.
Question: If I cancel before a CPA can view my account(s), will I receive an electronic version so I can hire someone else to continue?
Answer: If you request IPIU to recommend a CPA to prepare your tax return(s), then while we are under retainer from you, we will send the electronic file to the CPA we refer you to. If you cancel before we provide an electronic file to our recommended CPA, then you will only receive the printed account paperwork and documents. If you wish to receive BOTH the printed account paperwork AND the Electronic file, then an additional fee of $100.00 will be due at the time of cancellation.
Question: After I pay the first retainer, how much am I charged for services?
Answer: The attorney-in-fact (AIF) professional amount is 99.38 per hour (with a two-hour retainer required to start). If the AIF assigns specific tasks to an Associate Bookkeeper (AB), the rate is $39.99 per hour. All staff abide by all federal, state, and local laws to insure the confidentiality of your requested service. If your account exceeds the first two-hour retainer, then an additional one hour retainer of $99.38 will be required.
Question: If I have additional questions, who do I contact?

If you make this purchase, we will provide you with private password access for questions and answers from our team. If you wish to ask basic and general questions, you can call the office at 406-534-0251 and ask for your union representative.
